Sketch of a design project

1. Consultation & Proposal

First of all, I’ll give you an hour of my time. You’ll tell me about your business and the challenges you’re facing. Then I’ll be able to help identify what you should do next. You’ll get a proposal along with details about proceeding with your project. Once you’ve signed a contract and agreed to my terms, I’ll take a down-payment to secure the project in my schedule.

2. Design Research & Planning

Research teaches me about how your business works. It helps me understand your competitive market and why you do what you do for your customers. Without seeing how your company fits into their world my work would not be possible. I only start designing when we’ve defined exactly what you need to say and why.

3. Design

This phase differs from project to project. I like to leave this open to allow new ideas and creativity to flourish. Generally I start by sketching ideas, refining and developing them towards final visuals. That might be a brand identity, website, literature, campaign or just about anything else. My aim is always the same; creative and smart design that makes your business stand out.

4. Completion

I’ll be on hand to help your new designs either go live, launch, or replace your old visuals. I can source print and other production methods too. I’ll deliver any relevant files, and handover the project to the relevant people. This can include launching the designs internally to gain support throughout your business.

The Future

Once the design is complete, it’s not over! I’ll be on hand to give future design direction, or provide support for further design work. I prefer to build a long term partnership with my clients, so I can be on hand as your creative partner.

“Steve is someone we could always 100% rely on – and that doesn’t happen very often. He tries to challenge our perceptions on every project in a good way too. His ideas play an important role in the  promotion of Pro Evolution Soccer across Europe.”
