Who are you?

I’m Steve Daniels, and I have 10 years experience designing for creative agencies such as 2am and Jelly.

What are your credentials?

Apart from my 10 years experience in the industry, I have a (BA) Hons Degree in Design & Art Direction. In my professional career I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside a diverse mix of brands, from international firms to local charities. I’m comfortable working across a variety of media too. I have experience of major projects in web and interactive, print and large format media.

What areas do you serve?

I work in Lancaster. I partner with clients large and small in the North West of England, specifically covering Lancashire.

How much does design cost?

My payment structure is designed to give both you maximum flexibility, and the project a clear focus. Contact me to arrange a design review for more.

What times are you available?

I accept calls and emails between 9am – 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday.

Can you work onsite at my office or premises?

This is something I do not provide. I am happy to attend meetings in your offices, but the work is done from my space in Lancaster.

You’re a designer, so what is this research & planning stuff?

If I don’t understand what I’m designing for, then the look and feel of the work I do may well be incorrect for the audience. Essentially, I need to understand not just who you are, but what you do and why you do it. So good, solid background work is pretty much essential. Otherwise it isn’t design, it’s just colouring in.

Why should I hire you?

First and foremost, working directly with an independent designer means you get clarity. I use my decade of experience to ensure that project fundamentals aren’t skipped. And instead of having countless meetings with people who may not be stakeholders throughout the project, you just speak to me. You don’t need things to be any more complex than they should be.

And if it’s design you need, it’s a a professional designer that you should be speaking to. Meantime, you can get on with the important stuff. That is of course running your company. If you still need convincing, check this page out.

Do you collaborate?

I’m a big believer in expertise. A doctor should be the one prescribing your drugs, and a mechanic should be fixing your car. Although I can produce most work myself, I do work with a range of experts to enhance some projects. For example, copywriters, web developers, photographers and video makers are all specialists who can be brought in. This means your team is scalable by the project, bringing the best value to the table.
